Key Takeaways from the Ministry Leader Kickoff

If you want a refresher from our kickoff—or want to spend more time with something that stood out—go back through the materials with these four ideas in mind:

1. Build people who can carry the ministry.
Healthy leadership develops others. Ask yourself: What am I doing that someone else could begin learning? Who can I intentionally develop? The goal is a ministry that can continue growing because leadership and responsibility are being multiplied.

2. Grow your influence in all three arenas.
Leadership is influence—helping others think, feel, or act differently. Effective ministry leadership requires growth in the Strategic arena (planning and results), Social arena (relationships and collaboration), and Spiritual arena (beliefs, values, purpose, and alignment). The intersection of all three is where the presentation places transformational leadership.

Go back through the kickoff materials and choose one area to work on this season. You don’t need to remember everything we covered. Identify what will help you lead, influence, and multiply more faithfully this year.

Key Takeaways:

The intersection of all three is where the presentation places transformational leadership.

Key Takeaways:

1. Persevere with purpose.
Our theme challenges us to stay faithful to the work God has given us. Perseverance means carrying the vision from idea → alignment → plan → action → follow-through, even after the initial excitement fades.

2. Know your strengths and steward them well.
Your strengths help explain how you naturally lead, but every strength can help or hinder your ministry depending on how you use it. Revisit the Perseverance Strengths Chart to see what your strengths can look like when perseverance is strong and when it begins to wane.
